live cat installation symbolizing societal pressure on felines to fit into a narrow aquaphobic mold.
the performance artist (seen here) stayed inside the hot plastic installation for 47 cat-hours (8 human minutes) without being able to drink any of the water which surrounded him, a psychologically grueling experience. Upon his release from the plastic enclosure, he collapsed from the trauma, exhaustion, and dehydration.
for his work, he was rewarded with a crunchy on the outside - soft on the inside cat treat.
